Patton Avenue - Urban Corridor Design
|
ADC is in the beginning phases of creating an urban design plan to guide the redevelopment of Patton Avenue as a multimodal boulevard with mixed-use urban villages along its edge. This reconfiguration will effectively link Downtown to West Asheville along a central spine, to and across the French Broad River. The plan not only involves the reconfiguration of the roadway itself, but will also make recommendations for infill redevelopment of a series of sites and multimodal connections throughout the corridor. The project area extends from the intersection of Haywood and Patton in West Asheville at one end to Pack Square Downtown at the other.
